We had heard about Roadhouse Pizzeria at Labim Mall. Wood-fired pizza, on the 2nd floor of Lalitpur's favourite shopping centres. The kind of place that would come up every time someone asked where to eat in the area. And we went to find out exactly how this loyalty had formed in Lalitpur's dining scene.
We were in Labim Mall, browsing on the ground floor. Once we were done with our errands, we realised how long our day had been and how hungry we had gotten. Not just snack-hungry. Proper hungry.

After pulling out our phone and searching for restaurants near Labim Mall, a familiar name kept appearing: Roadhouse Pizzeria. It had a 4.1 rating on Google and was also on Wanderlog's list of the 15 best pizza spots in Kathmandu. People wrote that they kept coming back.
So we went up the 2nd floor, walked in, and understood just why.
As we sat down, the staff came up and notified us that the menu at Roadhouse Pizzeria had been refreshed and that a tighter structure, more focused selections, and a few new items had come in alongside the classics.
The Funghi Pizza kept coming up in customer reviews. So we went with that. It arrived loaded with cheese, a little more than we expected, and the mushrooms had real depth. We had seen some reviews read 'our next preferred place in Lalitpur' by more than one regular. And we understood the loyalty.
The pizzas came in mini sizes. So we had to go for more than one.

We were told that the Classic Pepperoni was for the Roadhouse virgins. And boy, that thin crust was a delight.
Beyond pizza, we also tried the Jalapeño balls, Momolini, and Mac & Cheese to round out the savoury side. The pasta was worth every bite.
On the drinks side, we tried the fresh watermelon juice. It was a seasonal choice, and it was quite pleasant. Beers, mocktails, and some other beverages were also available.
There were also four ongoing limited-time offers alongside the menu when we were at the pizzeria. It included:
Most of the items on these offers were not on the regular menu. So it probably is a good time to try out these offers. Read more about the "Four ways to eat better at Roadhouse Pizzeria."

The space is compact. That's a fact. Inside a mall, the layout reflects that. The sofas, including seating in the outside section facing the mall atrium, change the feel entirely.
The interior leans into a warm, slightly industrial aesthetic: vintage Western backdrops. It felt a little casual, and at the same time, it was not. There was enough visual texture to make the space feel lived-in.
We could've arrived in shorts after a shopping run or dressed for a date night, and the space would've worked for both.
The service at Roadhouse Pizzeria Labim Mall was quite attentive. Ms. Lajisa, a staff member, had been singled out in customer reviews for being genuinely helpful, and thankfully, she served us. She actually recommended items and kept checking back.
It was a busy setting when we got there. The kitchen ran warm and the noise carried in the compact space. The space didn't require a reservation, but they did inform us to call early for weekend evenings or larger groups.
Our favourite thing about the service at the Pizzeria was definitely the time at which our orders arrived. It felt like we had barely sat down, and the pizza we ordered was already on the table.
Roadhouse Pizzeria is on the 2nd floor of Labim Mall, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. For anyone coming from Patan Dhoka like us, it's a short walk. From central Kathmandu, Labim Mall is a straightforward 15-20 minute taxi ride.
The mall has both car and bike parking, and the restaurant offers free Wi-Fi. Hours run from 11 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week.
If you're arriving from Patan Durbar Square or the heritage core of Lalitpur, Labim Mall is under 10 minutes away.
At the time of our visit, the Pizzeria had more than 4 stars (4.1) on Google, based on 4,453 reviews. It also ranked 6th on Wanderlog's list of the best pizza spots in Kathmandu. And, it was listed among the top 100 restaurants in Patan (Lalitpur) on TripAdvisor.
The pricing sat at the mid-range for Kathmandu's western food category. We spent comfortably on our orders without feeling the need to budget. We definitely got value for what we paid for.

The space is not for longer visits. During peak hours on weekends, it can fill up. If you want elbow room and a long, leisurely table, we recommend the larger Roadhouse Cafe we visited at Jhamsikhel, which is quite close to Labim Mall.
Roadhouse Pizzeria Labim Mall was definitely not a destination restaurant. It exists in a mall that's totally worth visiting. Maybe you've already been there. So for your first or next visit to Labim Mall, the wood-fired base pizza at Roadhouse Pizzeria is the real thing. The new menu will definitely have something for you. The Funghi Pizza will earn its way onto your regular order. The sofas make the wait comfortable. The limited-time offers are also something to consider.
